Crime Numbers

The Colorado Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) Program offers data on crime from individual law enforcement agencies rather than general county crime statistics. Although the program covers Arapahoe County, the crime reports that the Sheriff's Office provides are available and represent trends in crime within the county. For example, in 2017, Sheriff's Deputies recorded 3 murders, 97 assaults, 53 robberies, and 180 assaults that were aggravated. In addition, the number of instances of property crimes includes 3,443 burglaries, the theft of 365 motor vehicles, and 214 instances of fraud.

In addition, the five-year trend in crime for Arapahoe County shows significant increases in burglary (16.6 percent) as well as theft (70.2 percent) and the theft of motor vehicles (212 percent), and fraud (17.6 percent) rate.

People can select its Personal Search option to conduct a fast search or an account user option to sign up on the website. The CBI has a non-refundable cost of $6.85 per search.

You can browse the Colorado Sex Offender Registry by name, address, address, or zip code. You must choose Arapahoe from the list of counties for a search that is restricted to that county. Its Sexual offender Tracking and Registration (SOTAR) portal is an alternative resource offered through the Sheriff's Office.
